We’re excited to announce that Eclipse Magnetics is taking on the challenge of Plastic Free July. This global movement is all about reducing plastic waste and we’re inviting you to join us in making a difference.

Why Plastic Free July?

Plastic Free July is a challenge that encourages us to rethink our daily habits and find alternatives to single-use plastics. Whether it's those pesky plastic straws, cling wrap, or water bottles, there are so many ways we can reduce our plastic footprint. By making small changes, we can have a huge impact on our environment and help protect our beautiful planet for future generations.

What Are We Doing To Make A Difference?

At Eclipse Magnetics, we’re actively trying to reduce the amount of plastic that we consume as a business. We’re doing this by reviewing our packaging and switching to more sustainable options wherever possible. This means that most of our packaging is currently transitioning from plastic to cardboard packaging.

We’ve also given each of our employees a personalised aluminium water bottle and a reusable shopping bag, to help them to begin their Plastic Free July journey.

What Can You Do?

Here are some simple steps to get started:

• Bring Your Own Bag: Ditch the plastic bags and bring your own reusable shopping bags. Keep a stash in your car or by the door so you never forget.
• Refill and Reuse: Invest in a good water bottle and a coffee cup that you can use over and over. Many places even offer discounts for bringing your own cup!
• Say No to Plastic Straws: Either skip the straw altogether or switch to reusable ones made of stainless steel, bamboo, or silicone.
• Shop Smart: Opt for products with minimal or no plastic packaging. Look for items packaged in cardboard, glass, or other sustainable materials.
• Support Local: Buying from local markets often means less plastic packaging and fewer miles travelled.
