Employee Spotlight: Kerri Ellis-Greaves
At Eclipse Magnetics, our employees are at the centre of our business, and we want to shine a spotlight on the individuals who make our workplace a thriving and dynamic community.
This month, we caught up with Catalogue Account Manager, Kerri Ellis-Greaves, to find out more about her life both inside and outside of work.
When did you join Eclipse Magnetics?
I joined Eclipse Magnetics in July 2003. I began in a Customer Service & Export Shipping role before becoming a Sales Co-Ordinator. I then moved into external sales as a Catalogue Account Manager.
What did you do before joining Eclipse Magnetics?
I worked in Customer Service & Export Shipping for UDCE (Universal Drilling & Cutting Equipment) who now go by OSL Cutting Technologies. They are now a customer of ours!
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I enjoy most about my job is that I get to meet new people and I also get involved with some very interesting and unique applications. I also get along very well with the colleagues I work with.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy staying active, whether it be walking, running or going to the gym. I also like music and going away in the camper van with my husband and our dogs. A fun fact about our dogs is that they are named Brooke and Woodi after two Sheffield boxers (Kell Brook and Clinton Woods). Generally, I really like being outdoors – when it’s not raining!
Tell us a surprising fact that not many people know about you.
Not many people may know that I used to play football for Sheffield Wednesday Ladies Football Club.
What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
My biggest career highlight would have to be winning a £70k order from Guyson International for end user Mahle in Brazil. The order was for a magnetic conveyor system used for carrying half shell bearings going through the process of grit blasting with a very fine aluminium oxide grit.
